Mind Folk'd (Feb 10th)

In honor of Black History month, the show did a musical/historical survey of blues music featuring (almost) all African American musicians. Started off in the 1920's with the raw, roots-ey stuff like Robert Johnson and Son House, then moved our way up to the 1950's gospel/soul movement with guys like Sam Cooke and Ray Charles. Hope you all enjoyed it, I sure had a wicked time digging through the old stuff. So good. So raw.

Mind Folk'd Playlist
- Me and the Devil Blues (Robert Johnson)
- Magnolia Blues (Charlie Patton)
- County Farm Blues (Son House)
- Black Cat Blues (Memphis Minnie)
- Key to the Highway (Memphis Slim)
- Dying Crapshooter Blues (Blind Willie McTell)
- Lord, Send me an Angel Down (The White Stripes)
- Black Betty (Lead Belly)
- Where Did You Sleep Last Night? (Nirvana: Unplugged)
- Steppin on the Blues (Lonnie Johnson)
- Papa Ain't Salty (T Bone Walker)
- Trouble No More (Muddy Waters)
- Little Red Rooster (Howlin Wolf)
- Boogie Chillen (John Lee Hooker)
- Wonderful World (Sam Cooke)
- Georgia on my Mind (Ray Charles)

Usually I star songs that I really liked, but if I did that I would have starred that entire playlist haha. It was all awesome!!

Tune in next week, I'll be back with the normal, run of the mill, good ole' folk music ...
